Why the Ginkgo
🔋
All-Day Plant Music
It’s beautiful, rich sound fills the house. Turn it on in the morning and experience the joy of the ever-changing melodies — your plant becomes the soundtrack of your day.
🎵
Live Music From Your Plant
The Ginkgo doesn’t play recorded tracks. It reads your plant’s electrical signals in real time and converts them to music — biosonification at its simplest. No two sessions are ever the same.
🌿
Works With Any Plant or Tree
Two sensors clip gently to a leaf and the soil. Houseplants, herbs, trees, outdoor plants — if it’s alive, the Ginkgo turns its electrical signals into music.
🔊
Built-In Speaker
The music plays through the Ginkgo’s own speaker — no external equipment, no setup. Move it from plant to plant, room to room, wherever you want plant music.
📵
Self-Contained. No App. No Subscription.
Everything happens inside the device. No phone, no app, no Bluetooth pairing, no subscription. The Ginkgo is a completely self-contained plant music device — built to play, not to be managed.
🎼
Three Sound Profiles for Any Mood
Choose ambient pads for meditation, experimental textures for creative flow, or piano tones for calm focus. Three preset profiles, selectable frequencies, and three volume levels.

Ginkgo Quick Questions
A few of the most common questions about the Ginkgo. See our full FAQ for more.
Does the Ginkgo work with any plant?
Almost any plant with a leaf large enough to clip onto. Common houseplants — pothos, monstera, philodendron, rubber plants, ferns, fiddle leaf figs — all work beautifully. Outdoor trees and garden plants work too. Succulents and very small or delicate plants can be harder because the leaves don’t always make solid contact with the sensor.
Do I need a phone, app, or subscription?
No. The Ginkgo is completely self-contained. Built-in speaker, rechargeable battery, onboard sound. Clip the sensors, press play, and you’ll hear music. There’s no app to download, no phone to pair, no subscription to manage.
What does plant music sound like?
Calm, melodic, and unpredictable in the best way. The notes follow the plant’s electrical rhythm, so the music has a natural ebb and flow rather than a fixed tempo or melody. People often describe it as meditative — somewhere between ambient music and the sound of a wind chime that knows what it’s doing.
